Can food be good for both people and the planet? Ecotable, the company that has been helping restaurants measure and reduce their environmental impact since 2019, believes the answer is a resounding yes. On June 1, it unveiled the third edition of its Sustainable Dining Awards, highlighting the most responsible food businesses of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Across fourteen categories, the awards paint a picture of the industry\u2019s most committed players\u2014not only restaurants, but also canteens, caterers, hotels and bakeries. There is little room for subjectivity in the rankings: winners are determined by the highest scores achieved in Ecotable\u2019s rigorous audit process. The assessment is based on more than 150 criteria, supported by supplier invoices (from vegetables to energy), menus and operational data. In short, this is sustainability measured with hard evidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While this year\u2019s flagship award for Most Committed Restaurant<\/strong> went to Le Bouche \u00e0 Oreille<\/em>, a bistro in the Gers region of southwestern France, Greater Paris still had plenty to celebrate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Plant-Based Restaurant Award<\/strong> went to Vivide<\/strong>, the vegan restaurant created by Michelle Primc and J\u00e9r\u00e9my Grosdidier, which had already been recognized with the 2026 Time Out Food & Drink Award for Best Neighborhood Restaurant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Neighborhood Canteen Award<\/strong> was presented to Cantine Terroirs d\u2019Avenir<\/strong>, renowned for its exceptional lunch offering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In Montreuil, Pois Gourmands<\/strong>, founded by Julie Algr\u00e9 and Emma Mariani, took home the Organic Restaurant Award<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Elsewhere in Seine-Saint-Denis, Farine<\/strong>, located in Le Pr\u00e9-Saint-Gervais, won the title of Most Committed Bakery<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Finally, for the collective achievements of its four venues\u2014including Fellows\u2014Maslow Group<\/strong>, led by Julia Chican, Marine Ricklin and Mehdi Favri, was named Most Committed Restaurant Group of 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In short, if you’re wondering where to eat responsibly in and around Paris, this list is an excellent place to start.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
