It would be hard to imagine a more fitting name. Temple, the second restaurant from the Maslow group—named after the neighborhood where it recently opened, in the heart of the Marais—has, within just a few weeks, established itself as one of the city’s must-visit destinations for joyful and inventive vegetarian cuisine.
Even more so than the original venue on the banks of the Seine—where up to 800 guests can be served on a busy Saturday—Temple regularly draws lines of eager diners onto the sidewalk. Visitors come to discover its cathedral-like setting, with crimson walls, an Eiffel-style metal framework topped by a glass roof, a gleaming cocktail bar, and above all, its food.
The menu features generous sharing plates so indulgent that one almost forgets they contain no animal protein at all: oyster mushroom tempura (€8), zucchini carpaccio (€7), kimchi fritters (€8), and more.
